6: The Holocaust
1. When six million Jews in
Germany and other parts of Europe were systematically exterminated in an act of
genocide.
2. They blamed them for the
many economic problems that Germany was experiencing.
3. They first boycotted
Jewish shops and businesses they had prejudicial laws placed against them, they
had firing squads kill many Jews and they had many of them gassed in
concentration camps like Auschwitz.
4. During the war they did
not have the opportunity or man power to free the Jews from these camps and end
the oppressive regime because they could not break through the German lines.
After the war they had many of the Nazis tried and then executed and the freed
all of the Jews out of the concentration camps.
